About Ballure Holiday Homes

Owned by the Craine family for nearly 40 years, they wanted to provide the sort of self-catering accommodation they’d be happy to stay in themselves. Each single-storey property is big enough for six people to live together comfortably, with a large dining table and ample seating for everyone in the living room. There are three bedrooms – one double and two with twin beds – and the location, outside the town and away from busy roads, means that children have enough outside space to run about and safely explore.

The five detached single-storey holiday homes are managed by Kezia Sproule-Craine who lives on the edge of the complex at Cerise Cottage. Kezia is the first person you’ll see when you arrive, and is on hand throughout your stay to offer local knowledge and deal with any questions you may have.

Every season brings more suggestions from our guests, so recent additions include a decking with a barbecue, a children’s play area, and a shared drying room/bike store for those wet days and wetsuits. Kezia has now added an essential element of any 21st century holiday: free unlimited WiFi.

Dog Friendly

We have also had many requests from guests wishing to bring their dog on holiday so one property, Gorse, is now ‘dog-friendly’. If you’d like to bring yours, please call or email to check that this is available before you book. Health and allergy issues mean dogs are not allowed in any other cottage and we ask that any dogs are kept under control at all times.

In common with other establishments, Ballure Holiday Homes operates a strict no-smoking policy inside the cottages.

We know you’ll enjoy your holiday with us. And don’t forget, Kezia is just next door at Cerise Cottage if you’ve got any queries.
